Ten More Sleeps

Welcome to Phase Twelve; a program developed through Eastview's Student Ministry based on Romans 12 to help young people discover their gifts and grow in faith as they serve cross-culturally in the global church. A team of 16 will depart from Eastview Community Church this summer to serve alongside Dave and Louise Sinclair-Peters in the Burmese and Thai Churches of Chachoengsao, Thailand.

Phase Twelve is broken into two phases; Phase 1 and Phase 2. Get it? Side by side they make 12... eh?

Phase 1: Orientation
July 28 - August 2

For 5 days, our team will participate in what I like to call... extreme team-building. It's designed to fast- track the team into relationship with each other, learning to depend on one another before heading out overseas. This is more importantly a time to focus in on their relationship with God and prepare themselves to head out and service in Thailand. Students and leaders can look forward to sessions, worship, team building, beach time, ministry prep and of course, some twists and turns along the way. I mean it when I say "extreme"...

Phase 2: Assignment
August 3 - August 20

Our team will work along side Dave and Louise in their ministry in the Thai and Burmese churches. A full schedule awaits; full of children's ministry, youth ministry, teaching English, outreach events, work projects and more. Stay up to date on our blog for the latest happenings out in Thailand.

We're only 10 days away from kick-starting this adventure!!! Stay tuned, we'll post as often as possible.

Oh... and two summers ago we went to Chachoengsao with our youth leaders. Our hope was to pave the way for students. Ba da bing, ba da boom!  Here's a look at our time in Thailand in 2011. It'll give you a teaser for what's in store for this blog...
